Horizontal lines at rest or during expression can be improved with neuromodulators for a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Although neuromodulators cause controlled muscle weakness (this is necessary to minimize line formation), the ability to show expression (ie, elevating the brows to show a surprised appearance) in the forehead will be maintained.
