Neuromodulators

Neuromodulators such as BOTOX® and Dysport® are Health Canada approved substances which help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles through the physiological process of causing controlled muscle weakness. By reducing muscle activity in common areas such as the forehead, glabella (between the brows) and crow’s feet (beside the eyes), a well-refreshed and rejuvenated appearance can be achieved in the skin at rest and with expression. Neuromodulators can be used off-label to reduce pore size, slim the lower face, help with a gummy smile, and etc. Neuromodulators are also excellent for its preventative and anti-aging benefits.

BOTOX® is one of the most popular medical aesthetic treatments today. It is substance composed of a purified protein called, OnabotulinumtoxinA. BOTOX® effectively targets aging concerns at the cause by relaxing the targeted muscles to smooth static (at rest) and dynamic (with movement) wrinkles from repetitive muscle movement. Similar to BOTOX®, Dysport® is another well known purified protein called, AbobotulinumtoxinA, which helps to improve the appearance of fine lines with aging.
