Aesthetic Service:
Fillers
Fillers are designed to restore and enhance volume, soften fine to deep lines, hydrate the skin, and stimulate collagen production where appropriate. There are many variations of fillers, the most popular being Hyaluronic Acid (brands such as Teosyal®, Restylane®, Juvederm®, Belotero®, Revanesse®, Stylage®, and etc). Other fillers include Calcium Hydroxylapatite (Radiesse®), Poly-l-lactic Acid (Sculptra®), Polymethylmetacrylate (Bellafill®), etc.

Hyaluronic Acid fillers are gel-like substances made up of synthetically produced Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring sugar molecule found in our body which is mainly responsible for attracting water to maintain hydration in our skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly used to help restore or add volume to help improve undesired lines, asymmetries, and contours in the face. When the right Hyaluronic Acid filler product is used more superficially, it can help add hydration and smoothness to the skin. Hyaluronic Acid fillers are dissolvable, making it a popular treatment due to the reversibility and higher safety profile compared to other fillers.

Radiesse is an injectable filler that is made up of calcium microspheres (collagen stimulating) suspended in a gel-like aqueous solution. Unlike Hyaluronic Acid filler, Radiesse is not water attractive which gives it the advantage of creating structured and sharper definition in areas such as the cheeks and jawline. Given its collagen stimulating properties, Radiesse can also be used to restore youth at the back of the hands, décolletage, and other parts of the body.
