Masseters (facial slimming, bruxism, and temporomandibular joint tenderness)
The masseter muscle, commonly known as the jaw muscle, is the number one muscle responsible for mastication or clenching. Overtime, the masseter muscle may hypertrophy (enlarge) which can cause the lower face to look wider and may also increase pain in the jaw. Neuromodulators in the masseters can cosmetically, slim the lower third of the face and therapeutically, reduce jaw tension and pain.
